Columbia Pictures

Columbia's typeface has dark and light areas which makes it look 3-Dimensional and chiseled. This is similar to how I have used the shading on my typeface.

Above is another cover by Cliff Nielsen for Cassandra Clare's The Bane Chronicles.

Archie's Press

Above is a Psycho Geography artist called Archie's Press who creates maps of well known cities. He heavily inspired my final piece for Pantone.

More John Rocco

Last year John Rocco was approached by DisneyHyperion to redesign the covers for the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. Rocco said on his website that it is very rare that the original illustrator to be asked to redesign their own work.

John Rocco!

John Rocco is the illustrator of the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series, The Kane Chronicles trilogy and the Heroes of Olympus series.

Rick Riordan!

Rick Riordan has done it again! He knocked me for six yesterday when he announced Percy Jackson's Greek Heroes which is kind of a follow up to Percy Jackson's Greek Gods which was released earlier this year. Both (as with all of Riordan's novels) are illustrated by the fabulous John Rocco.

The Blood of Olympus UK cover! XD

How amazing is this cover! This time around I think that it is the UK cover that is the best cover. No offence John Rocco I love your work but this one trumps yours.

Alison Impey

Alison Impey is best known as the cover artist for the Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor.
